New Horizon School

New Horizon School is seeking an Administrative Assistant/Office Manager. The new staff member must have empathy for and a genuine interest in working in an office environment for a school with elementary, middle school, and high school students with Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and executive function difficulties. Applicant must be prepared to support and maintain general office operations, guide student office assistants and/or office volunteers, support coordination of activities in the office and in the school, schedule appointments, receive incoming calls, take and relay messages, place calls, receive and direct visitors, compose correspondence and documents, and support flow of work in the school office. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is essential. Willingness and ability to learn new web-based data management systems is also essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Minimum 2-3 years of office work experience
  • Ability to work independently with a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Comfortable interacting with staff, faculty, students, parents, and guests
  • Excellent organizational, phone, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office
