POSITION AVAILABLE:
CERTIFICATED SCIENCE TEACHER

New Horizon School is seeking a certificated math/science teacher for the 2008-09 school year. The new teacher must have empathy for and a genuine interest in developing positive education experiences for middle school and high school students with learning disabilities and attention deficit disorders. Applicant must be prepared to teach middle school general science, high school science (e.g., chemistry, physics, earth science, astronomy, biology and an elective class.

Required Qualifications	o Valid Washington State teaching certificate
	o Ability to serve as case manager for up to twelve students with individual needs
	o Positive communication and teamwork skills
	o Effective organization and time-management skills

Desired Qualifications	Special Education endorsement & experience

Salary	Per NHS salary schedule (dependent on experience and education)
