Press Release, Renton Reporter: New Horizon School hosted a group of 10 delegates ages 15-18 from the Brazilian Youth Ambassadors (BYA) Program. The Brazilian high school students came to the United States through the BYA Program to learn about and share ideas about Social Justice and Volunteerism.

NHS’s student leaders planned the event, led campus tours, served refreshments, shared information, and engaged the guests in a round table conversation on topics such as education, diversity, inclusion, and other important causes. The BYA Program is a three-week exchange program for high school youth interested in youth leadership development and themes such as human rights, multiculturalism, and social transformation. Participants engage in a variety of activities, visits to high schools, and training and visits to various cities in the United States.
